Personal Training

It's easy to become complacent about your own health & fitness, and with our busy lifestyle and demands placed on us, many people find motivating themselves hard work, or even impossible.

The benefits of a personal trainer can be quite astounding. Working with a Personal Trainer is no longer seen as a luxury or nice to have, people these days see it as a lifestyle change to make a real difference to long-term health & wellbeing. A Personal Trainer can effect a dramatic change to your lifestyle and therefore to your wellbeing.

An initial consultation will include a health and fitness assessment and questions about your exercise habits, diet and lifestyle in order that we can identify any barriers, opportunities and goals for your new life plan.

Group exercise

Research shows that spending time with other people in the great outdoors is a guaranteed health-booster and that exercising outside burns more calories and is more satisfying than working out behind closed doors.

It is also a great way to motivate each other, train with friends and meet other people.

Group exercise sessions run as advertised or can be organised to train a group of friends or colleagues, before/ after work or at lunchtime.

Nutrition

Physical exercise is just part of being fit and healthy. Getting the right nutrition will give you more energy to boost your athletic performance to train more effectively. It also helps your body to repair and recover after exercise, which will assist in preventing injury and get the right nutrients to those muscles and joints.

From drinking enough water, to working out just how many calories you need when exercising, it's all important stuff.

Lots of factors can affect how you burn calories and what your body needs. Keeping a food diary or using an app on your phone can be a great way to record your calorie intake but also to track how much protein, iron and other essential nutrients you are consuming.

A good diet doesn’t have to be restrictive, the important thing is to keep it balanced, varied and try to keep everything in moderation.
